I semi-reluctanctly went to see this movie. A major reason was the major disappointment with Brenden Fraser's two previous movies: The Mummy and Journey to the Center of the Earth.
I have to say Inkheart was a pleasant surprise. It shows that a family movie can be enjoyable for most anyone, not just kids. The story is good, the acting is good, and CGI computer graphics were very good and not over done.
If you have an interest in classic books, especially The Wizard of Oz, you will definitely love this movie.

You should read the books. They are good enough that it might make a person not want to see the movie. Thank you for the review, I was worried it was going to be lame.
