The AJ MR has sadly learned of the death of Kim Manners, producer/director of the TV shows Supernatural and The X Files. Early in his career he also worked on the TV show Charlie Angels.
He had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Supernatural creator Eric Kripke released a statement saying, "Everyone at Supernatural is walking around in a daze, shocked and absolutely devastated. Kim was a brilliant director; more than that, he was a mentor and friend. He was one of the patriarchs of the family, and we miss him desperately. He gave so much to Supernatural, and everything we do on the show, now and forever, is in memory of him."

Review: Inkheart
I semi-reluctanctly went to see this movie. A major reason was the major disappointment with Brenden Fraser's two previous movies: The Mummy and Journey to the Center of the Earth.
I have to say Inkheart was a pleasant surprise. It shows that a family movie can be enjoyable for most anyone, not just kids. The story is good, the acting is good, and CGI computer graphics were very good and not over done.
If you have an interest in classic books, especially The Wizard of Oz, you will definitely love this movie.

Review: Paul Blart Mall Cop
I went yesterday to go see Paul Blart. I really didn't know what to expect. I was thoroughly surprised to walk into a packed theater and it not being opening weekend.
There were a few laughs along the way, but then again it is not hard to make me laugh. I was glad that I went to the matinee showing though. It felt as if the movie was lacking something a little bit extra to push it over to See It Now status. Its a great family movie, but bottom line

Review: New Underworld movie
This is probably the BEST of the Underworld films! I went into the theatre with not-so-high expectations. Most movie series fail in about the 2nd or 3rd editions.
This was awesome! We at the AJ MR don’t like to talk too much about the films as to not give away anything so this is all we’ll say.
See it but definitely Matinee It. If you’re an “Underworld Person” you should be willing to see it at regular price if you have to.
